Cynthia is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Drama. She is a voice, speech and dialects teacher and has taught at California State University, Stanislaus, CalArts, UC Santa Barbara, University of Southern California, and CSULA. Some dialect coach credits: TV: Orange is the New Black (Netflix), The Affair (Showtime), El Huracán at Yale Rep, I Come From Arizona at Children's Theatre of Minneapolis, South Coast Repertory’s The Long Road Today/Diálogos (bilingual play), Chance Theater’s In the Heights, UCSB/LaunchPad Untitled by Ruth Markovsky, USC’s Broken Eggs and Anna in the Tropics. She is an actress member of SAG/AFTRA, Actors’ Equity and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. She is also a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. Cynthia is bilingual (Spanish) and specializes in coaching in both languages. She is passionate about empowering diverse voices. She has a B.A. in Theater from the University of Southern California and an MFA in acting from California State University, Los Angeles.
